The "haves" and the "have nots"

Juvenile Bald Eagle attempts to elude the attempts by another Juvenile to steal his fish over the Susquehanna River in Maryland on Sunday 11-08-2009. The Eagle without the fish is sporting a silver federal tracking band on its right leg and a purple tracking band on its left leg which indicates he was banded at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds further down the river. Aberdeen has fifty nesting pairs of Bald Eagles within the protected confines of the military property there. Tracking bands are used by researchers to track migration and distribution patterns of the Eagles.

For more information on Bald Eagles, visit the Cornelll Lab Of Ornithology.
