An Eagle with a mission

An adult Bald Eagle soars over our heads along the Susquehanna River in Maryland on Sunday 10-25-2009. Whenever an Eagle has a fish or spots another Eagle who has a fish, you can be sure that food is the motivating factor when they really pick up speed and fly in a completely straight line directly overhead and eventually disappearing into the tree cover. Having food and being pursued or not having food and pursuing another Eagle that has a fish, will tend to step things up a notch in flight speed.
