For my first lap around the wildlife drive in the morning on Saturday, many of the Egrets present last week seemed to be missing until I got to the far end of Bear Swamp pool. There must have been some sort Great Egret convention going on though the presence of a few Great Blue Heron were noted as well as some Snowy Egrets.
From Saturday 8-1-2009 at Bombay Hook National Wlidlife Refuge near Smyrna, Delaware.
I shot this as 21 separate RAW exposures and then stitched it together with Auto Pano Pro. It’s my first attempt at panoramic photography and I made 1,000 mistakes in the process but I took good notes on what I screwed up and where in the process so that I can correct things for next time. The presence of so many Egrets in one area really lended itself to this type of shot.
