Sometimes photography isn’t about capturing the light but capturing the lack of it or the crazy things it does when it reflects and refracts. This was taken in daylight but the angle and the shutter speed conspired to give me a nice subject isolation of this Great Blue Heron just after it caught a fish. From my trip to National Wildlife Refuge near Smyrna, Delaware on Saturday 8-1-2009.
