A mother Bald Eagle pulls off bits of freshly caught fish and feeds it to her two young chicks (eaglets) near the Delaware Water Gap in Northeastern Pennsylvania on Sunday 5-17-2009. The Father Eagle returned a short while later with yet another fish to be divided up.
This particular nest was a little challenging to shoot today since the high winds in the area were blowing the pine tree it was built in from side to side a good two feet with each of the stronger gusts. There were also twigs in the way and shadows galore. Eagles rarely consult with photographers on nest design and location, LOL.
