In the late Winter/early Spring time period this year I noticed large flocks of migrating Canada Geese would fly into certain fields along the route I take going home from work. They would do this “fly in” exactly at the same time of day. It got me wondering what it must be like a migrating Goose in unfamiliar territory, only guided by the calls of other Geese and intuition, flying in whatever weather Mother Nature would throw at you. I tried to capture that feeling with this artistic piece incorporating one of my shots taken over the Arrowhead Industrial Park Retention Pond along Long Lane Rd in Kutztown, PA.
I blended three background textures and use a custom photoshop brush to add the flock of birds in the far background.
Thanks for the free use of the textures goes to:
Skeletal Mess (“Puff Clouds” Texture)
Ghostbones/Skeletal Mess (“Later that evening” Texture)
Ghostbones/Skeletal Mess (“The sky above” Texture)
