Guira Cuckoo from my Saturday 1-17-2009 trip to the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, PA. This bird inhabits open, scrubby areas, pampas, pastures and coastal dunes in South America. It feeds on Insects, frogs, eggs and nestlings of small birds. This species is still plentiful in the wild.
