I sort of like the way his/her left eye peeks out from between the feathers.  Adult Bald Eagle double checks its grip on a freshly caught fish before flying off to eat it in a safe perch. The reflection off the water below can be seen on the under wings. Taken over the Susquehanna River in Maryland on Saturday 11-29-2008.  I shot this back on 11-26-2008 while the Eagle was eating a fish on a branch overlooking the Susquehanna River in Maryland.  African Penguin from the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, PA. I believe this one is “Stanley”. He was walking down the hall on his way to the 11:30 Penguin talk at the Aviary but he seemed to be taking his sweet time about it, choosing to stop and talk to the Bald Eagles along the way....  “Lincoln”, one of the two Bald Eagles at the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, PA sits in the pouring rain. Both Lincoln and his mate “Abby” are rescued birds who were injured at one time and can no longer fly in the wild. Taken on Monday, 11-24-2008.
